Biggest rendezvous of home art and design in Paris

From mattresses, bedding and home textiles to home accessories, thousands of new home decoration items will be on display at home fashion trade fairs, September 5th – 9th 2014 — Parc des Expositions Paris Nord Villepinte. The MAISON&OBJET show first came to be nearly twenty years ago in Paris. Organized by SAFI, a subsidiary of Ateliers d’Art de France and Reed Expositions France, it is the leading international assembly for professionals in the decor industries. The next MAISON&OBJET show is scheduled in parallel with PARIS DESIGN WEEK – Friday, September 5 to Tuesday, September 9 – in the nine halls of Parc des Expositions – Paris Nord Villepinte. It is accompanied by a new advertising campaign that gets back to the roots of the event and promotes its development on two new continents.Because MAISON&OBJET now means four annual shows: MAISON&OBJET PARIS in September and January, MAISON&OBJET ASIA introduced in Singapore in March 2014, MAISON&OBJET AMERICAS scheduled in Miami Beach in May 2015. Though they share the common objective of uniting the many sectors of home decor, each of these four events has its own identity. Thanks to its magnitude (250,000 net sqm of stands, 3,000 exhibitors) and history, MAISON&OBJET PARIS remains the most comprehensive of this palette of happenings. By keeping pace with fashion, it gives real-time readings of the changes in home decor and lifestyle. The spring and fall events are nevertheless distinguished by alternating special exhibitions: MAISON&OBJET | projets |, which lends a more architectural dimension to September’s show, and MAISON&- OBJET éditeurs, which heightens January’s decorating dynamic. The year’s foremost decoration and design event, the MAISON&OBJET show is recognized for its 360-degree product offer. Decoration, furnishing, accessories, tex – tiles, fragrances, children’s products, tableware… This event, dedicated to the art of living, brings together business and creation, and generates enthusiasm from buyers and trendsetters from the world over at every session. As a meeting point for all professionals, a place of business and strategic pioneering, this essential professional crossroads takes its power of inspiration from Paris. Luxury, know-how, design and avant-garde… MAISON&OBJET and the City of Light: a unique DNA!

Throughout the year, members of the MAISON&OBJET Observatory identify and analyze micro signals heralding changing influences. Each session, this focus on the future is embodied in the design of three trends areas prepared by trends consultancy firms Croisements, Elizabeth Leriche and the NellyRodi agency, as well as the publication of the MAISON&OBJET Inspirations Book, a creative and analytical work, designed to support readers in their study of the season’s secrets. Our era is clicking on the “Share” icon. Generation G for Generosity is bashing cynicism and liking “We”. New uses and values are reconfiguring ways of living together, exchanging information, goods, services and experiences. In the digital age, networking information is producing new tools with emerging practices in an economy of collaboration and cooperation. We are seeing a dynamic of creative sharing, which is programming the future of a caring world.
