Award ceremony and gala dinner were held on the second day of ANAMOB – Anatolian Furniture Fair organized by Nobel Expo Fuarcılık A.Ş. in cooperation with Kayseri Furniture Industrialists Association (KAYMOS) and Kayseri OSB between October 4-8. In the award ceremony organized for the first time this year, 82 participants competed in 9 categories and the most successful designs of the leading companies of the sector were announced. The ceremony was attended by Kayseri Governor Mr. Gökmen Çiçek, Kayseri Mayor Mr. Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kayseri Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Ömer Gülsoy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kayseri Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Mehmet Büyüksimitçi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kayseri Chamber of Industry, Mr. Erhan Çelik, Chairman of Nobel Group of Companies and Mr. Erhan Çelik, Chairman of KAYMOS. We will organize fairs in Libya and Baghdad with Kayseri companies
Erhan Çelik, Chairman of Nobel Group of Companies: “We did not offer you a fair where you can find every product, but a very comfortable center. I would like to say to our foreign guests that Kayseri is not only the center of furniture, but also the center of door production, electrical household appliances, sub-industry and many other things. In a very short time, you will come here not only to buy furniture but also to make purchases in the sectors I mentioned. Because Kayseri will be the fair city of Turkey. After the agreement we signed with the Iraqi Minister of Trade last week, we took over the operation of the Baghdad International Fairground as of 01.01.2024. Very valuable representatives of the door sector had a special request, Mr. Governor, they wanted a fair in Libya. At this point, our state has incentives. I said, “We are ready to undertake the incentive at whatever rate our state deems appropriate and we are ready to host you in Libya without a penny out of your pocket.” I gave the good news about this fair here. We know that Iraq is a very important export center for furniture, and after the Baghdad International Fairgrounds passed to us as of January 1, we want to host all our exhibitors in Baghdad in order to meet the incentive given by our state in the first furniture fair to be held in May, which is planned around May, Nobel Group of Companies. Our exhibitors have reached 68 countries, let’s reach 108 countries next year.”
“Kayseri is a furniture production base”
Mehmet Büyüksimitçi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kayseri Chamber of Industry: “There are 4 companies from Kayseri in the list of 500 largest industrial organizations. We will see Kayseri in the second five percent. When we look at it, there are incredible numbers in terms of capacity. Especially you know that our scale is bigger than other provinces. We have over 600 companies registered in industry and trade. The 600 companies registered in our chambers have 27 thousand employees. No one has such capacity. One out of every two chairs and one out of every four box springs produced in Turkey are manufactured in Kayseri. We are present in many places from Europe to America and the Middle East. Customers come for quality and competition. Our industrialists do this very well. Again, furniture does not grow on its own, it grows with the sub-industry. In Kayseri, fabric, sponge, spring quilting are exported to many places. We produce 20 percent of the fabric for mattresses, and we produce one third of the sponge in Turkey. I agree with Mr. Erhan; the sub-industry supporting the main sector is also very developed. We are Turkey’s second export city. I hope we will organize fairs together in other sectors as well.”

Prof. Dr. Kubulay Çağatay, Dr. Gözde Kuzu Dinçbaş, Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Merve Çetinkaya Sönmez, Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Masoumeh Khanzadeh and Kayseri Chamber of Interior Architects Representative Ezgi Aksu found their owners. In the award ceremony held for the first time, the winner of the best stand award was Elitra Furniture with the first prize, while the second prize was awarded to Zen Design and the third prize was presented to Sanna Furniture. Dünya Furniture, which creates original works in product development and focuses on the society, won the first prize in the best bed base set category. Cardinya Furniture, which competed in the same category at the award night, was awarded second prize and Uyku Dünyası was awarded third prize. While Zen Design was awarded the first prize in the sofa set branch, Maxioma Furniture won the first prize in the bedroom set branch. The winner of the best dining room award of ANAMOB Award ceremony was Maximo Furniture and the winner of the best youth room award was Palmera Furniture. The award of the best table chair branch in the competition was presented to Fatih Yıldız Table Chair. Trendmilyon was the winner of the first prize in the innovative product and garden furniture branches of the ANAMOB Anatolia and Furniture Fair award ceremony, which attracted buyers from 61 countries from all over the world.
