Having 30 years of experience in the mattress industry, Sevketogulları serves its customers with Windy brand and its 100 different products.

Sedat Tutus, deputy general manager of the company, introduces Windy brand and sales activities.

On his company

We have been producing coaches for 30 years and mattresses for 20 years. We are one of the top ten exporters from Inegol, where our factory of 22,000 sqm located. 80 percent of our products exported to Europe, America, and North Africa. With a workforce of 90 we can produce 100 to 180 mattresses daily.

On products portfolio and trends

During the last five years of time span, Turkey has improved its ability to produce quality mattresses. New technologies such as visco and functional fabrics have emerged. As our rivals, we produce beds and other products for companies, building sites and hotels. Recently we have added two new models, Crystal and Diamond. They were made of 86 thousands bonel springs, bird feathers, visco, knitted and cotton fabrics. Padded models are also preferred by customers.

On exports

As mentioned above, we export 80 percent of our production. Europe is our major market. Exports to other markets are not so volumous, because we have to invest more in these markets. Turkic republics in Asia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Iran, and Saudi Arabia are other markets for our exports. We consider to roll-pad mattresses in order to reduce the cost of logistics.

On R&D activities

Our team is developing new products and new solutions every year by seeking new materials and designs. They try to improve both comfort and the aesthetics of our products.

On the industry in general

Demand for Turkish products is rising in the last couple of years, both from African and European zones. We keep growing. Our furniture exports are growing 20 percent on average. This may be more in the future. We have to focus our effort to new markets in order to increase our penetration in export markets. We also have to establish new partnership in the markets that will help us to grow more and to bring more money in the country.
