Since 1982 Gunes home appliance company has been producing mattresses in Kayseri. Senol Gunes, General Manager, sees this as an advantage in following the developments in the industry and acquiring inputs for production.
On exports
We export our products to 23 countries in Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia and Central Asia. 35 percent of our production is sold to these markets. We produce 500 bunks 100 base and 300 beds in our factory of 10 thousand sqm.
On performance in 2013
It was highly profitable. We filled 90 percent of our capacity. However, floating currencies have caused some problems, because we depend on imported inputs. Despite all these we exported 35 percent of our production. We aimed to rise it % 50.
On fairs
Fairs are important for our business. We participate in about two international fairs annually. In 2013 we had been in Rumania and Iraq fairs. This year, we will be in Ukraine and Libya. We find new customers for new markets. They help us to increase our exports.
