Boyteks, the world’s leading mattress ticking and upholstery fabric manufacturer, operating on the principle of respect for nature and human health, and serving nearly 1400 business partners in over 80 countries, has introduced yet another new project designed to support sustainable living.
By incorporating environmental awareness into its social responsibility strategy for a cleaner and healthier future, Boyteks has planted 10 thousand saplings. Boydak Holding and Boyteks personnel together attended the Boyteks sponsored event for planting 10 thousand saplings in the Boydak Forest located in Kayseri Organized Industrial Zone’s Yilanli Mountain.
Boydak Holding Chairman Hacı Boydak said during the course of the activity, “This land we are planting saplings on used to be covered with rocks. Once the rocks were cleared, a very fertile soil was uncovered. We intend to plant 35 thousand saplings on this land. As we plant the saplings, both Kayseri and Turkey will become greener.” Also present at the tree-planting event, Boyteks General Manager Mustafa Yildirim, said, “We develop and take advantage of opportunities to put into practice environmentally conscious projects in line with our principle for sustainability, which is necessary for happier and healthier generations. We organize periodical trainings for personnel every year to raise environmental awareness. We are here with all of our personnel today, and wanted to make sure that each one had a tree to their name. New environmental activities will take place in the upcoming year as well.”
