Located in Istanbul, Yeditepe University decided to use washable mattresses in its new hospital to raise the standards of hygiene, disinfection, patient safety, design and functionality.
Serving for 20 years as a supplier of turnkey medical projects German company Acendis offered washable mattresses produced by Wissner Bosserhoff/ linet Group to the university. Kemal Durukan, deputy chairman and management director of the company said, “The importance of accreditation of the Yeditepe University that has a good reputation in international markets, has to be mentioned. It proofs the value of our innovative offer. Washable mattresses have brought a new standard into patient mattresses used in hospitals.”Yeditepe University, accredited by JCI for all standards, is the only university hospital in Turkey.
Erkan Sahin, Turkey manager of Wissner company said, “The product chosen by the hospital is an unequalled product. It is safe for drops and can be adjusted to the lowest level (up to 25 cm) and completely washable. We are proud to be the first supplier of this kind of product in Turkey.”
